Hair 011

1. This works best for clean, day old hair, but if your hair is in a mess, wash it first. For a lift, brush in some leave-in conditioner.

2. Heat up a small curling iron and brush through your hair whilst it heats. Flip your hair over and brush the underside before the top to make your hair totally tangle-free. Apply heat defence and [only if you have a safety cover!] check to see if the curling iron is hot. If you don't have a safety cover, brush round your head again to give the iron a little extra time to heat so that it's definitely hot when you start to use it.

3. Take a 1 to 2 inch section of hair and release the clip on your curling iron. Hold the clip open and wrap the section of hair around the barrell of the curling iron, wrapping all the hair right up to the roots. The easiest way to do this is to lift the section of hair above your hair as you wrap it to make it as easy to access the roots as you can, then use your fingers to hold the end of the hair and twist it downwards over the iron. Continue around your head.

4. Section of the front of your hair (look at the picture for an idea of how much to section) and pull the rest of your hair round to the nape of your neck. Lift the hair up halfway towards your roots (it will move downwards once tied) and tie it as if you were making a ponytail, but the third time you pull the elastic around your head only pull it through halfway and you have a messy bun! Pull strands out of the bun (refer to picture) and spray with hairspray and you're done!
